Single use plastic consumer waste is a major global environmental issue. Less than 10% of plastic waste is recycled, with the vast majority piling up in land fills or scattered around our landscape and oceans. A grassroots movement with the focus of educating and empowering individuals and communities to re-purpose this waste has been gaining momentum around the world. Rather than viewing this durable and versatile material as trash it should be considered a precious and renewable resource.

 

Precious Plastic-USA is dedicated to enabling grass roots plastic recycling efforts and educational programs by providing essential equipment for small scale plastic re-processing and production. All machines are built based on open source Precious Plastic designs and are hand built in our Portland OR fabrication shop.
